In August 2016, Justin drove from Memphis to LA (with his mom as his road trip companion) to start law school at USC that fall. As Justin and his mom were moving him into his new apartment, they met Shelby in the elevator. In an attempt to make new friends, Shelby introduced herself to the cute boy in the elevator. Justin ignored her and continued to text his best friend (and the Best Man), Matt. Hours later, Shelby logged into Facebook and noticed a new “friend request” from the boy in the elevator. After that day, Justin made every attempt to hang out with Shelby, including pretending to need to go to the grocery store (conveniently when Shelby was going) and buying items he did not need, just to spend time together. Justin and Shelby officially started dating in October 2017 and in the years since, have shared many special moments together, including graduating from law school and passing the bar. We are so excited to be married in front of our closest friends and family in December!! xoxo
